Construction

Conductor:

  • Annealed copper conductor.

Insulation:

  • Extruded conductor shield, EPR ethylene-propylene-rubber insulation, extruded insulation shield, 0.005 inch copper shielding tape.

Jacket:

  • Black polyvinyl chloride jacket, surface printed.

Application:

  • Medium voltage MV-90 power cable for use in main feeder, distribution and branch circuits in industrial, commercial and electric utility installations. Cables may be used in wet or dry locations in circuits not exceeding 5000 volts 133% insulation level or 8000 volts 100% insulation level, at conductor temperatures not exceeding 90°C for normal, 130°C for emergency overload and 250°C for short-circuit conditions. Suitable for installation in conduit, tray, trough, ducts, aerial and direct burial applications.

Approvals:

  • Conforms to AEIC CS6 for ethylene propylene rubber Insulated shielded power cables.
  • Conforms to ICEA pub. no. S-68-516, NEMA pub. no. WC8 for ethylene-propylene rubber- insulated wire and cable.
  • Listed by UL as type MV-90, per standard 1072.
  • Listed by UL as sunlight resistant.
  • Sizes 1/0 and larger UL listed for CT use.
