Overhead Service Drop Cable- Duplex, Triplex and Quadruplex

Overhead service drop cable is used to carry electrical power from a utility pole or overhead distribution point to a building’s service entrance. It is commonly used for residential, commercial, and utility power connections where an aerial cable assembly is required.

Duplex service drop cable has two conductors, triplex has three, and quadruplex has four. The correct construction depends on the service type, phase requirements, neutral configuration, and utility or project specifications.
