Miniature coaxial cable is often used when space, weight, bend radius, or routing flexibility matters. It can be a better fit for compact equipment, internal wiring, mobile systems, test setups, or short signal runs where a larger cable would be harder to install.
Broadcast coaxial cable should support stable signal transmission, the correct impedance, reliable shielding, and low enough signal loss for the equipment and distance involved. The cable also needs to match the connector type, installation environment, and frequency range of the system.
Silver-coated copper conductors can support strong conductivity and signal performance, especially in higher-frequency applications. They are often used when the cable needs dependable RF performance in a compact or specialized construction.
Cable diameter can affect flexibility, routing, attenuation, shielding, connector compatibility, and durability. Smaller coaxial cables are easier to route in tight spaces, but buyers should still confirm that the cable supports the required signal quality, impedance, and installation conditions.
When replacing miniature or broadcast coaxial cable, confirm the impedance, RG or cable type, conductor construction, shield type and coverage, dielectric material, jacket material, outside diameter, connector fit, frequency range, and whether the cable is being used for RF, MATV, CATV, CCTV, or another signal application.
