Applications:
Braidless silicone motor lead wire does not have an outer glass braid covering over the silicone insulation. This can make the wire easier to strip, route, and terminate in applications where a braided outer layer is not required.
UL Style 3212 and 3213 wire may be used in internal wiring applications for motors, appliances, lighting fixtures, and high-temperature electronic equipment. The correct UL style depends on the wire size, insulation thickness, voltage rating, and equipment requirements.
Silicone insulation is used because it remains flexible in high-temperature applications and supports clean handling in equipment wiring. It is often selected when the wire needs flexibility, heat resistance, and dependable electrical insulation in compact or demanding spaces.
The varnish bake cycle refers to the wire’s ability to withstand specific heat exposure during motor or coil manufacturing processes. This page lists bake cycle references of 300°F for 24 hours and 350°F for 4 hours, which may matter when the wire is used in motor, coil, or apparatus production.
Before ordering, confirm the AWG size, strand construction, UL style number, CSA AWM requirement, nominal outside diameter, insulation thickness, temperature rating, voltage rating, required color, and whether the application requires braidless silicone wire instead of glass-braid covered wire.
